Candidates preparing for B.Tech courses commencing in 2012 can now take admission in Indian Institute of Space Science & Technology (IIST). The institute has announced for admission test to be conducted for admission to B.Tech courses commencing 2012.
Indian Institute of Space Science & Technology (IIST) is a deemed to be university and it is funded by Department of Space. IIST is located at Valiamala, Thiruvananthapuram. IIST conducts Under Graduate and Post Graduate Courses. IIST is the first university in Asia specially dedicated to Space Science & Technology education.
Indian Institute of Space Science & Technology(IIST) a Deemed to be University every year conducts admission test for admission to B.Tech Courses. IIST Admission Test (ISAT) 2012 will be held across the country on 21 April 2012.
Candidates selected through ISAT are given admission to IIST in B.Tech Programme in the areas of Aerospace Engineering, Avionics and Physical Sciences. IIST is boarding university and candidates selected for B.Tech Programme are proved free boarding and lodging at IIST. Cost of Education is also borne by IIST.
IIST Admission Test (ISAT 2011)
Education Qualification : Must have passed 10+2 in the first attempt with an aggregate of 70% marks in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry (60% for SC/ST/PD) in Calendar year 2011 or 2012. Those who have qualified 10+2 examination prior to 2011 or who would qualify the 10+2 examination after 01 July 2012 are not eligible to apply.
Applicant must have passed the 10th class or equivalent examination with 70% marks in case of General and OBC candidates and 60% in case of SC/ST/PD candidates.
