Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Applications from eligible candidates are invited for Preliminary Examination of the Civil Services Examination, 2012 to be conducted by Union Public Service Commission on May 20th, 2012. Notification in this regard has been issued by the Commission vide No. 04/2012-CSP Dated 11.02.2012. The candidates can see all the details in Employment News Dated 11-17 Feburary 2012 and also on the website employmentnews.gov.in. All details are also availabe at Commission's Website : http://www.upsc.gov.in. The candidates can apply for these posts in ONLINE mode only. No other mode of application will be accepted by the commission. The Last Date for Online submission of Applications is 05.03.2012 upto 11.59 PM.

The Number of Vacancies to be filled on the result of the examination is expected to be approximately 1037. The number of vacancies may undergo change.

Negative Marking : The Preliminary Examination is in Objective Type Question Papaers mode. Candidates should note that there will be a penalty (Negative Marking) for every wrong answer marked. 

Application Fee :- Rs. 50/- (No fees is to paid by Female, SC/ST/PH Candidates)
