Unmarried male candidates after doing 10+2 or its equivalent examination with Maths and Physics as compulsory subjects and at-least one of these subjects Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science wants to make career in Indian Navy can enroll as Sailors for Senior Secondary Recruits (SSR)-01/2013 Batch. Candidates will be selected on the merit basis on their performance in Written Test, Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and fitness in the Medical Examinations. The selected candidates will during the entire period of training and thereafter, sailors are given books, reading material, uniform, food and accommodation etc. free of cost.
Age Limit : Candidates should have been born between 01 Feb. 1992 to 31 Jan. 1996 (Both dates inclusive).
Pay and Allowances : Initially the selected candidates will be paid a stipend of Rs. 5700/- p.m. After successful completion of training an amount equal to the minimum pay scale less stipend already paid shall be admissible with retrospective effect.
How to Apply : The desirous candidates can apply in either ON-line or Off-line mode. Only one such way of Application is to be used by the candidates. Before applying On-line candidates are advised to read the instruction carefully as displayed on the screen at the time of On-line submission of Application. The candidates applying online (e-application) can do so from 26 May 2012 to 15 Jun 2012.The last date for the receipt of the printed copy of the Physical/ e-application Form at Naval Headquarters is 22 Jun 2012
