The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi has issued a notification for Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) Feb-2014. The Board will conduct a All India Examination in this regard for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher for classes I to VIII on 16/02/2014. The interested candidates can apply in ONLINE mode only through the link provided on the official website of the Board. No other means/mode of application will be accepted. If a candidate qualifies the test, the Validity Period of CTET qualifying certificate for appointment will be seven years from the date of declaration of its result for all categories. There is no restriction on the number of attempts a person can take for acquiring a CTET Certificate. A person who has qualified CTET may also appear again for improving his/her score. A candidate can get a duplicate copy of Marks Statement or Eligibility Certificate by paying the following fees by way of Demand Draft in favour of “Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education” drawn on any nationalized bank and payable at Delhi:
The Normal Course (within 2 weeks) Time is for issue of Duplicate documents and the Charges are Rs.200/-. For getting the certificate Within two working days the fees will be carged is Rs.400/-.
The CTET shall apply to schools of the Central Government (KVS, NVS, Central Tibetan Schools, etc.) and schools under the administrative control of UT’s of Chandigarh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu and Andaman & Nicobar Islands and NCT of Delhi.
CTET may also apply to the unaided private schools, who may exercise the option of considering the CTET.
Schools owned and managed by the State Government/local bodies and aided schools shall consider the TET conducted by the State Government. However, a State Government can also consider the CTET if it decides not to conduct the State TET.
The candidates appearing in CTET will be issued Marks Statement. The Candidates securing 60% and above marks will be issued Eligibility Certificate.
School Managements (Government, Local bodies, Government aided and unaided) may consider giving concessions to person belonging to SC/ST, OBC, differently abled persons, etc., in accordance with their extant reservation policy.
Qualifying the CTET would not confer a right on any person for recruitment/employment as it is only one of the eligibility criteria for appointment.
How to Apply : Apply Online at CBSE CTET website from 11/10/2013 to 31/10/2013 only. Take a print out of online registered application (if applied online) and send by Registered/ Speed Post so as to reach positively by 07/11/2013 in the CBSE office on the following address:
