Junior Engineers and Junior Draftsmen Recruitment in Department of Water Supply and Sanitation 2013-14

Department of Water Supply & Sanitation, Government of Punjab invites applications from eligible candidates for the 120 post of Junior Engineers and 30 Posts of Junior Draftsmen. The interested candidates can apply in ONLINE mode only through the link provided on the official website of Government of Punjab. All candidates are required to keep in touch with website www.thapar.edu. All contents detailed here on website www.thapar.edu shall prevail. All subsequent Notices shall also be ONLY displayed on www.thapar.edu. Candidates are advised to go through the directions very carefully. Applications should be completed in the 1st instance itself. Hard copies (printout) must be enclosed w.r.t. all the referred documents. Incomplete applications shall be rejected and no opportunity shall be granted for subsequent supplementing. The candidates are advised to ensure the conditions of eligibility in terms of educational qualifications, age and nationality as laid down in the advertisement. The selection of candidates will be made purely on the basis of merit in the written test to be held (for both the streams) at Patiala on 09.02.2014 (Sunday). The brief details are as under : 

Total number of Posts: 150 Posts 

• Junior Engineer : 120 Posts 
• Scale of pay: 10,300-34800+4800 (Gr. Pay) - Initial : Rs. 18,250

• Junior Draftsman : 30 Posts 
• Scale of pay: 10,300-34800+3200 (Gr. Pay) - Initial : Rs. 13,500/

Educational Qualifications: Candidates should be done Diploma in Civil or Mechanical or Electrical Engineering for Jr. Engineer post and should possess certificate in Civil Draftsman by State Board of Technical Education. 

Age Limit: Candidates age should be between 18 years to 38 years for General and 18 to 43 yrs for SC/ BC as on 01 January 2012. 

Application Fee: Candidates have to pay Rs.750/- for SC and Rs.1,000/- for all others.
