Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs, Directorate General Border Security Force, (Personnel Directorate: Rectt Section) invites applications from eligible candidates for the posts of Assistant Sub Inspector (Stenographer), Head Constable (Ministerial) and Constable (Daftri) in Border Security Force vide Advertisement No.A.5/81/Pers(Rectt)/ Min.Staff/ BSF/2013/16973. The interested candidates can apply on the prescribed application format which could be downloaded from the official website of BSF at www.bsf.nic.in and also from the link provided at the end of this post and send the application so as to reach at the centers as mentioned in the advertisement on or before 30 days after publication of this advertisement in Employment News. The selection of the candidates will be through two phases. In the First Phase a Written Examination will be conducted by BSF. The candidates declared successful in written examination will be called to appear in the second phase of selection separately. In the Second Phase the have to pass the following tests :
(i) Physical Measurement (PST)
(ii) Short Hand Test (only for ASI(Steno)
(iii) Typing Speed Test (only for HC(Min)
(iv) Documentation (Checking of Documents)
(v) Medical Examination.

- Asst Sub Inspector (ASI) – Stenographer : 25 Vacancies
- Head Constable (Ministerial) : 159 Vacancies
- Constable (Daftry) : 12 Vacancies
Eligibility for BSF Recruitment 2013
ASI(Steno) & HC (Ministerial) : Intermediate or SSC (10+2) examination from a recognized Board or University or equivalent.
Shorthand/Typing speed:
1. ASI (steno) – Shorthand @ 80 wpm in English OR in Hindi for ten minutes. Transcription of dictation in English in fifty minutes on computer OR transcription of dictation in Hindi in sixty five minutes on computer.
2. HC (Min) – Typing @ 35 wpm OR @ 30 wpm in Hindi corresponding to 10500 KDPH in English/9000 KDPH in Hindi with average of 5 key depressions for each word on computer. Time-10 minutes.
Constable(Daftri): Matriculation
CT (Daftry) : No Technical Test for CT(Daftry)
Age Limit: Candidates age condition for above said three position is required between 18 to 25 years. Relaxation in Age will be as per Government Rules.)
