Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) invites applications from eligible candidates for the posts of Accountant (Treasuries and Accounts Department) and Assistant (Forest Department). The interested candidates can apply in ONLINE mode only through the link provided on the official website of TNPSC at www.tnpscexams.net or www.tnpscexams.in. Online Application Registration will be taken as successful one, only if the payment is made either in the post office or in the Indian Bank within two days from the date of registration. Candidates are advised in their own interest to apply on-line much before the closing date and not to wait till the last date for depositing the fee/ intimation charges to avoid the possibility of disconnection/inability/failure to log on the TNPSC's website on account of heavy load on internet/website jam. The selection of candidates will be made on the basis of their performance in written examination, oral test and interview. The brief details are as under :

- Accountant (Treasuries and Accounts Department): 469 Posts
- Assistant (Forest Department): 108 Posts
Total Number of Vacancies: 577 Posts
Age Limit: Candidates age must be at least 18 years minimum and 30 years maximum as on 01-07-2014. Age relaxation is applicable as per the Govt. rules.
Educational Qualifications: Candidates must possess the required qualifications as Graduate Degree in Arts, Commerce or Science from any recognized university. Refer to notification page for post wise educational qualification details.
Application Fee: General and other unreserved candidates have to pay Rs.175/- through Online/ Offline and SC/ST and other reserved category candidates will have to pay Rs.50/- as application fee on or before 02-05-2014. Fee should be paid through following mode.
Pay Scale: Rs.5200-20200/- with Grade pay Rs.2800/-
How to Apply : The interested candidates who wish to apply for Accountant and Assistant posts in Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC), are required to apply through online mode on TNPSC’s official website at www.tnpsc.gov.in on or before the last date. Before start applying online, make sure candidates have valid e-Mail ID, photographs.

- Log on to TNPSC’s official website at http://tnpscexams.net/.
- Navigate to Recruitment Section.
- Click on “Apply Online” link under the Accountant and Assistant post you want to apply for.
- Fill application form with all mandatory details, payment details and upload the scanned copy of photograph and signature.
- If everything is right, submit your application form.
- Take print out of application for future references.
