Directorate General Border Security Force (Pers Directorat), Recruitment Section invites applications from eligible candidates for the posts of Sub-Inspector (GD) through limited departmental competitive examination 2014 vide Advertisement No. BSF L/No-8/SI(LDCE-2014)/Pers/BSF/2014/ 4186-4480 dated 02 May 2014. The interested candidates can apply on prescribled application form which could be downloaded from the official website of BSF and also from the link provided at the end of this post. No other means/mode of apllication will be accepted. The candidates are advised to ensure their eligibility before applying for these posts. Applications which are not on prescribed proforma or not accompanied by specified enclosures or incomplete or defective applications shall be summarily rejected. No representation or correspondence regarding such rejection shall be entertained under any circumstances.The brief details are as under :

No. of Posts : 194 Posts
Pay Scale:- Rs.9,300-34,800 with Grade Pay Rs.4200 in Pay Band-2 and other allowances as admissible from time to time.
Eligibility : Constables/GD, Head Constables/GD and ASI(Exe) will be eligible to appear in the said LDCE. Tradesmen, who meet QRs to appear in SI/LDCE, are also eligible to appear in SI/LDCE.
Age Relaxation : Relaxation of 5 years in age limit to the candidates belonging to SC/ST is permissible in accordance with the instructions issued by the Govt. of India from time to time. The crucial date for determining the age limit shall be the closing date of submission of applications.
How to Apply : The application of each individual duly filled in and supported with all required copies of certificates should reach the concerned centre through proper channel.Applications received after due date will not be entertained under any circumstances. Covers containing the application must be super scribed in bold letters “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF SUB INSPECTOR (GD) THROUGH LIMITED DEPARTMENTAL COMPETITIVE EXAMINATION-2014” and Centre of examination with Centre code. Candidates are not required to submit any original certificates in support to their claims regarding educational qualifications and other relevant certificates and will submit only certified true copies along with their applications. They should, therefore, ensure that they fulfill all the eligibility conditions before filling in their application forms.
