South Delhi Municipal Corporation invites applications from eligible candidates for 1532 posts of Primary Teachers. The corporation has issued a notificaitoin in this regard. The interested candidates can apply in ONLINE mode only through the link provided on the official website of Corporation. No other means/mode of application will be accepted. The candidates are advised to ensure thier eligibility before applying for these posts. The selection of the candidates will be made on the basis of their academic record. The brief details are as under :
Name and number of Posts:
- Teacher (Primary): 800 posts
- Teacher (Nursery): 120 posts
- Special Educator (Primary): 588 posts
- Counselors: 24 posts
Age Limit: Candidates age should be between 18 years to 30 years for General candidates, 18 years to 33 years for OBC candidates, 18 years to 35 years for SC/ ST candidates and 18 years to 40 years for rest category candidates.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess the following qualification mentioned below.
- For Primary Teacher: Candidates must be12th pass with 2 years Diploma/ certificate course in Elementary Teacher Education course /Jr. Basic Training or B.Ed. Candidates should have qualified in paper 1 of CTET conducted by CBSE for Class I to V.
- For Teacher (Nursery): Candidates must have passed 12th with Diploma/certificate in nursery teacher education programme or B.Ed.
- For Special Educator: 12th pass with 2 years Diploma in Special Education . Candidates should have passed in CTET conducted by CBSE.
- For Counselors: M.A in Psychology and Degree/Diploma in Guidance and Counselling.
Application Fee: General and other unreserved category candidates are required to pay Rs. 100/- as application fee while SC/ ST/ and other reserved category are exempted from paying application fee.
Selection Procedure: Candidates will be selected on the basis of their academic records. Check out the required criteria for Deriving Merit.
A. Secondary Examination: 25 %
B. Sr. Sec. Examination: 45%
C. Teacher Training: 30%
Total Weightage/Marks: 100
Pay Scale: Monthly remuneration will be given Rs. 27,000/- month as salary.
