Employees' Provident Fund Organisation, India (EPFO) is going to introduces a new system to facilitate online submission of transfer claims by Members with an objective to make the transfer process transparent, efficient and comfortable for your employees. A member has an option to submit his claim either through his present employer or the previous one.  You can see all such claim requests with ease, verify/correct member details, approve and submit the requests online through this portal. For online submission of the claims, the Digital signature (Class II or above) of the authorized person is required.

User name and password for this portal is same which is used in ECR portal by the establishments and accordingly may be used with high diligence.

Salient features of  revised claim /transfer form 
  • The form will be called Transfer Claim Form instead of Form 13 for easy comprehension by the beneficiaries. 
  • The form can be presented after verification, either through the present employer or previous employer. 
  • Earlier the form could be submitted after verification only through the present employer. 
  • This form can be submitted online as well as in physical form. The facility of online submission of this form will be given shortly after process of collecting the digital signature of the employer is completed. 
  • The facility to file physical form shall continue to cater to the needs of working class who do not have internet access. 
  • Employee will be allowed to submit their applications online, if their employer is having registered digital signature.
  • Online submission of form will introduce paperless process for claim settlement. 
  •  Every beneficiary will be informed through SMS and e-mail about the stage of process of the claim to make the entire process transparent and accountable. 
  • After introduction of online claim settlement, endeavor will be made to substantially reduce the assured time of settlement of transfer claim which presently is 30 days.

Age Calculator, Area Calculator etc - All In One - Calculator Keyboard Shortcuts

In every Window Operating System there is a Calculator available and everyone of us uses this Calculator very frequently. Most of us use this Calculator for calculation purpose only. Some uses its Scientific version also. But do you know, you can calculate your present Age (How old are You) by just entering your Date of Birth and Today's date. Its so easy to do so. You can do so by pressing Ctrl+E key after opening the Calculator. By pressing Ctrl+E, one additional window will open in the Calculator. There is a option "Calculate the difference between two dates" followed by From Date and To Date fields. You have to just fill your Date of Birth in the From Date field and in To Date field today's current date is already there. so in the Difference column you will see your AGE in Years, Months, Weeks and Days. 

You can also convert Units very easily by just pressing Ctrl+U button. In the next window you can select the type of Unit you Want to convert i.e. Area, Energy, Length, Time, Power, Pressure etc. Suppose you want to convert Square Yards to Square Feet. Then first you have to select Area then in From field enter the Square Yards and it will convert it to Square Feet by selecting Square Feet in To field.

And there are lots of more functions which we just can't imagine by using the Functions of Calculators.

IBPS CWE 2013 - Download Hall Ticket/ Admit Card

The Common Written Examination (CWE) for Regional Rural Bank (RRB) for filling up  of Officer Scale-I, II, III is going to conducted Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS).  The written examination for Officer Scale-I, II, III is scheduled for 21.09.2013 and  22.09.2013 and for Office Assistant (Multipurpose) written examination is scheduled on 28.09.2013 to 29.09.2013/ 05.10.2013/ 06.10.2013.  IBPS will be issue Regional Rural Bank CWE II written exam admit card / hall ticket 2013 on official website www.ibps.in in a few days. Interested and eligible candidates who have already completed their preparation for bank posts can now download their Admit Cards. IBPS has already sent the same i.e IBPS RRBs CWE II Admit card to  your registered email address (i.e. the email id, you enter at the time of online application submission.).

Taxable Allowance received from Employer and Exemptions on these Allowances

Each and every man/woman doing job in Government Sector or Private Sector receives Remuneration/Salary from its employer. Allowance are the part and parcel of one's Salary received so. Some of the allowances received from Employer are Taxable and some are Non-Taxable. Here we will discuss all about the Allowance which are Taxable and which are Non-Taxable. All allowance are taxable in the hands of the employees, but we can claim some exemptions in this regard to avoid Income Tax on this Allowance to the extent of exemption allowed under the Income Tax Rules. First of all, here is the definition of Allowance : 

What is an Allowance: Allowance Means Fixed amount of money or other substance given monthly in addition to salary to meet the particular type of expenditure.

Treatment of Allowances :Allowances are part of salary and taxable in hands of the assessee if no specific 
exemption is given under the Income Tax Act/Rules. 

House Rent Allowance (HRA) : House Rent Allowance is exempted u/s 10(13A) of the income tax act. Least of the following is exempted from House Rent Allowance  Received. 
  • HRA received
  • House Rent paid minus 10 % of Salary (Salary means Basic Pay plus D.P. plus D.A. if term of employment so provides)
  • 50% of Salary (same meaning as above) in case of rented house situated in Bombay, Madras, Delhi or Calcutta
  • 40 % of Salary , if rented house is situated in any other places.

City Compensatory Allowance :Fully Taxable.

Foreign Allowance : Exempt from tax if paid outside India By the government to the Indian citizen for rendering services outside India.

Fixed Medical Allowance: Taxable.

Project Allowance :Taxable.

Allowances to Supreme court/High court Judges :Not Taxable.

Servant/Helper Allowance : Taxable , if helper  used for official purpose then exempted..

Transport Allowance: Known also as LODA , means allowance to meet expenses incurred for office to home and home to office is exempted up to 800 per month maximum.

Tiffin Allowance :Taxable .

Allowance to meet the cost of travel on tour or on transfer(including amount paid for packing and transportation of personal effects on such transfer): Exempted  to the extent allowances used for said purpose.

Allowance (know as DA in TA bill) paid for purpose explained in point mentioned above , to meet the ordinary daily charges on account of absence from his normal place of duty): Exempted to the extent allowance used for the said purpose.

Conveyance Allowance:To meet the expenditure on conveyance in performance of duties of an official nature:exempted to extent allowance used for said purpose.

Uniform Allowance : Exempted to the extent used for the said purpose

Children Education Allowance :Rs 100 per month per child up to maximum of two child is exempted if expenses made in India.

Children Hostel Allowance: Rs 300 per month per child up to maximum of two child is exempted if expenses made in India.

Allowance granted to employee working in transport system where no daily allowance has not been allowed to meet daily expenses ,done to meet his personal expenses during duty performance from one place to other place : 70 % of such allowable exempted maximum up to 6000 per month.

Allowance granted for encouraging the academic, Research and other professional pursuits: Exempted to the extent used for said purpose many hilly area, remote area, field allowances are exempted on various rate.

Any other allowance :Generally Taxable.

(3) Working experience of at least one year in a reputed Automobile Workshop which undertakes repairs of both light motor vehicles, heavy goods vehicles and heavy passenger motor vehicles fitted with petrol and diesel engines; and

(4) Must hold a driving License authorizing him to drive Motor cycle, heavy goods vehicles and heavy passenger vehicles. Nothing contained in this Notification shall apply to persons whose names were under consideration for appointment to the post of Inspector of Motor Vehicles or Assistant Inspector of Motor Vehicles (by whatever names called) by the State Government prior to first day of July, 1989 or to an officer appointed to such post before the first day of July, 1989 or to an officer appointed to discharge functions of a nontechnical nature.

Essential Qualifications : Working Knowledge of Hindi written in Devnagri Script and Knowledge of Rajasthani culture.
