The last date to file your Income Tax Return was 31st July 2014. On that day the website of Income Tax Department www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in was not working properly due to heavy rush. Many of us were unable to file their return. Have you filed your Income Tax Return ? Don't panic, because the last date of the return has been extended upto 31st August 2014. One can file his return for the financial year 2013-14 in the assessment year 2014-15 upto March 2015. But if you file your return in time i.e. before the last date as given by the Income Tax Department, you have the opportunity to REVISE your return due to any reason. And if you file your return after the specific time provided by the department, you can't revise the same if it is wrongly submitted with some error/mistake.
