West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company, Kolkata (A Government of West Bengal Enterprise) invites applications from eligible candidates for the posts as mentioned below vide Notification No. MPP/2013/08. The interested candidates can apply in ONLINE mode only through the link provided on the official website of WBSWDCL. No other means/mode of application will be accepted. Candidates are advised to go through full particulars of the Advertisement and make sure that he/she satisfies all the requirement as per the advertisement before Online Registration. The selection of the candidates will be made on the basis of performance in Written Test and Interview.  The brief details are as under : 

Total Number of Posts : 498 vacancies

• Pharmacist : 02 posts
• Nurse : 06 posts
• ITI Trainee : 490 posts

Educational Qualifications: Candidates should have obtained the Diploma in Pharmacy, 12th Class, Madhyamik or equivalent trade certificate under NCTVT from any Government Institution. 

Age Limit: Candidates age should be between 18 years to 27 years as on 01 January 2013.

(Relaxation in Age will be given as per Government rules.)

Application Fee: Candidates have to Pay Rs.250/- for General and OBC and Rs.150/- for PH candidates through any bank of United Bank of India through a triplicate Challan.

This year the Asia Cup is going to be played in Bangladesh. The matches of Asia Cup 2012 will began on Monday, March 12, 2012. The participating teams are : India, Bangladesh,Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Asia Cup 2012 will consist of 6 ODI and 1 Final match to be hosted by Bangladesh in March 2012. 

The 2012 Asia Cup has been rescheduled to avoid conflicting with the ODI tri-series in Australia that also includes Sri Lanka and India, the Asian Cricket Council has said. The tournament was originally supposed to be played from March 1 to March 11, but with the tri-series ending on March 8, the tournament will now be played from March 12 to March 22. The venue, Dhaka, remains unchanged.

The 2012 Asia Cup will be the 11th edition of a tournament that has had something of a rocky existence, being played at irregular intervals and tacked on as an afterthought to the already jam-packed schedules of the big four teams of Asian cricket - India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. India are the defending champions, having beaten Sri Lanka in the final of the 2010 edition in Dambulla.
