Application Fees :

  2. No application fee is required to be paid by for SC/PWD/Women/Ex-Servicemen (SC) candidates. AAI will accept fee through System Generated Challan of SBI only. Fee submitted by any other mode will not be accepted. 

Selection Process : The selection of candidates will be made on the basis of Written Examination followed by Interview of shortlisted candidates . 

Examination Centres : The Written Examination may be held at DELHI and MUMBAI Centres only. If sufficient number of applications are received, the examination centres may be increased on all India Basis. If the number of candidates applying for a particular post are less, then the written examination for such post may be conducted at DELHI only. Applicants should clearly indicate their order of preference for both “Examination Centres”, i.e., Delhi and Mumbai for written test according to the preferred option of the centre in the online application format. No request for change of examination centre will be entertained after final submission of application form.

How to Apply : Candidates are required to apply On-line through AAI website www.aai.aero in English only. No other means/mode of submission of applications will be accepted under any circumstances. The on-line registration process involves 02 (two) steps for successful registration of the application. Candidates should have a valid personal e-mail ID. One Increment for Central Government Employees - Revise option up to 31.03.2013

Central Government employees who were due to get their annual increment between February, 2006 to June, 2006 was allowed one increment on 1.1.2006 in the pre-revised pay scale as a onetime measure through OM dated 19.03.2012 and, thereafter, they will get the next increment in the Revised Pay structure on 1.7.2006 as per Rule 10 of the CCS (RP) Rules, 2008. 

Now they ate allowed to re exercise their options up to 31.03.2013.So if you are a Central Govt Employee and your Increment Month falls under February 2006 to June,2006 under pre-revised scales then you can re exercise your pay fixation option.Original circular reproduced here under..

OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: Central Civil Services (Revised Pay) Rules, 2008 — the re-exercise of option under Rule 6 of the Central Services (Revised Pay) Rules, 2008 in case of employees covered under the OM dated 19.3.2012.

The undersigned is directed to invite a reference to Rules 5 & 6 of the CCS(RP) Rules, 2008, as per which a Central Government employee had an option to elect to come over to the revised pay structure either from 1.1.2006 or from the date of his next increment or from the date of promotion, up-gradation of pay scales. Such an option was to be exercised within 3 months from the date of publication of CCS (RP) Rules, 2008. The rule also provides that the option once exercised shall be final.

2. This Ministry issued instructions vide this Department's OM No. 10/2/2011-E-IIIA dated 19.3.2012, providing that those Central Government employees who were due to get their annual increment between February, 2006 to June, 2006 may be granted one increment on 1.1.2006 in the pre-revised pay scale as a onetime measure and, thereafter, they will get the next increment in the Revised Pay structure on 1.7.2006 as per Rule 10 of the CCS (RP) Rules, 2008.


3. In view of the benefit extended to Central Government employees as per the aforesaid OM dated 19.3.2012, the issue relating to according of a fresh opportunity to Central Government employees to re-exercise their option to come over to the revised pay scale as per CCS(RP) Rules, 2008 was raised by the Staff side of the Joint Consultative Machinery in the meeting of the National Anomaly Committee held on 17.7.2012.

4. The matter has been considered by the Government and having regard to the fact that the provisions of the aforesaid OM dated 19.3.2012 bring about a material change in the basis for exercise of option to come over to the revised pay structure in terms of the CCS(RP) Rules, 2008 in respect of employees who are covered under the said OM dated 19.3.2012, the President is pleased to decide that all those employees who are covered under the provisions of the aforesaid OM dated 19.3.2012 may once again be permitted to re-exercise their option to come over to the Revised pay structure.

5. The benefit under these orders for re exercise of option be available for the period up to 31.03.2013. the Revised option be intimated to the head of the office by the concerned Government Employee in accordance with the provisions of Rule 6(@) of the CCS(RP) rules,2008.

6.All the Ministries and Department are requiested to bring the content of this OM to the notice of their employees can avail themselves of the same with in the stipulated time period.

7. In so far as persons serving in the Indian audit and Accounts Department are concerned ,these orders issue after consultation with the Comptroller and Auditor General of India.

Service Tax Registration Modifications in ST 1 and ST 2 and New Accounting Codes

When we use any service be it a phone bill payment or Hire a room in a hotel we have to pay out little more than the actual rates charged. Ever wondered why? The reason is very meek, we are made to pay service tax over and above the usual charge but the bigger question is What is Service Tax, why do we have to pay this Tax when the tax is applicable on the company providing the service and also what is the Service Tax Rate. If these questions bother you, find answers below.

What is Service Tax?

It is a tax which is payable on services provided by the service provider. Just like Excise duty is payable on goods which are manufactured, similarly Service Tax is payable on Services provided. This Tax is payable by the provider of Service to the Govt. of India. However, the Service Provider can collect this Tax from the Consumer of Service (also referred to as Recipient of Service) and deposit the same with the Govt.

Modifications :

1. New Registrants: In terms of Notification No 48/2012 dated 30.11.12 , Service Tax Registration Application Form (ST-1) has been modified and is available in ACES for use by the new applicants seeking registration as a Service Tax assessee. Earlier, vide Notification No 19/2012 dated 5.6.12 effective from 01.07.2012,the negative list of services was introduced and accordingly, applicants seeking registration as a Service Tax assessee were required to register under the service category 'All Taxable Services Other than in the Negative List' . In terms of the Circular No165/16/2012 ST dated 20-11-2012 , issued by CBEC, the pre-July system of service-wise registration has been restored by CBEC for statistical purposes only. New applicants are now required to indicate the service(s) from out of the 120 categories listed in the aforesaid Circular. Further, Service-wise Accounting Codes have also been allotted for payment of tax, other receipt-interest and penalty. Henceforth, the Service Tax Registration Certificate (ST 2) will display the list of services for which the assessee is registered along with the new Accounting Codes. 

2. Existing registrants: Those assessees, who had registered with the department after 01.07.2012 under the 'Other than in the Negative List' (OTNL) category should amend the taxable service details now and opt for relevant description/s from the list of 120 services. After approval by the departmental officer, a new Registration Certificate(ST2) will be issued online displaying the list of services chosen by the assessee along with the new Accounting Codes. The existing registration number will,  however, remain unchanged. 

3. Pending amendment applications: Applications which have been filed and are pending for changing the description of services to OTNL category will be rejected by the departmental officers in view of the above mentioned circular. However, if the assessee has added or dropped any service, he should file amendment application to add/delete the relevant service.
