The Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission(J.S.S.C.) has been constituted by the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission Act 2008 (Jharkhand Act 16, 2008) and it has been published vide Gazette notification no. 829 dt. 6 December 2008 of Jharkhand Government. Jharkhand Act 2008 has been amended by Jharkhand Act 03,2011 and Jharkhand Act 19,2011; published vide Gazette notification nos. 153 dt. 24 February 2011 and 687 dt. 11 October 2011 respectively.Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (Jharkhand SSC) invites applications from eligible candidates for 1110 posts of Junior Engineers in various disciplines as mentioned below vide Advertisement No. 01/2014. For backlog vacancies please refer to Advertisement no. 02/2014. The interested candidates for both categories can apply in ONLINE mode only through the link provided on the official website of JSSC at www.jssc.in. 1. Junior Engineer (Roads Construction Department) (Backlog): 128 posts
2. Junior Engineer (Water Resources Department) (Backlog): 826 posts
3. Junior Engineer (Drinking Water and Sanitation Department) (Backlog): 36 posts
4. Junior Engineer (Drinking Water and Sanitation Department) (Mechanical): 18 posts
5. Junior Engineer (Water Resources Department): 55 posts
6. Junior Engineer (Roads Construction Department): 47 post

Age Limit: Between 19 years to 37 years. 

(Relaxation in upper Age is available as per Government Rules)

Educational Qualification: Diploma in respective engineering discipline.

Application Fees : Rs. 500/- for all categories except SC/ST candidates of Jharkhand State for which they have to Rs. 125/- only. 

How to Apply : The eligible and interested candidates can apply in ONLINE mode only through the link provided on the official website of JSSC at www.jssc.in. The process of online application will start on 08.10.2014 and students can make registration upto 07.11.2014. After this the link will be deactivated and candidates will not be able to apply for these posts. The candidates are advised to ensure their eligibility before applying for these posts and should go through the Advertisement which could be downloaded from the official website of JSSC and also from the link provided at the end of this post.
