ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 kick starts from February 14. The opening match will feature co-hosts New Zealand taking on Sri Lanka at Christchurch and the following match on the same day will feature two rivals, Australia and England at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). India will get their campaign underway against Pakistan on February 15 at Adelaide.

Australia and New Zealand are the co-hosts of this edition of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015. Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Hobart, Canberra, Brisbane and Canberra will be the venues in Australia. New Zealand will have Christchurch, Wellington, Auckland, Hamilton, Napier, Nelson and Dunedin hosting games.

For every win, a team will get two points and a tie will earn them one point. There was only one tie in the previous edition and it happened between a match between India and England at Bangalore. Australia and New Zealand are firm favourites to win the World Cup in their own backyard.

The once-in-four-year tournament will see fourteen teams divided into two groups – Pool A and Pool B. The teams in Pool A feature – England, Australia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, New Zealand, Afghanistan and Scotland while Pool B has South Africa, India, Pakistan, West Indies, Zimbabwe, Ireland and United States of Emirates.

A total of 42 matches will be played throughout the group stage of tournament. The top four teams from each pool will advance to play the quarter-finals. The knock-out stage with four quarter-finals matches will begin from March 18 till March 21. The first semi-final match will take place on March 24 while second semi-final on March 26.

The exciting clash for the 11th ICC Cricket World Cup title, the all-important final will be played on March 29 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

All the participating teams will announce their final 15-man squad before January 10, 2015. The 11th Edition of ICC World Cup 2015 follows the same format as that of the previous edition. India became the first host nation to win the ICC World Cup in 2011, something Australia and New Zealand would be eyeing this edition. All teams participating in the tournament will play two matches apiece as practice games but these will be termed as non-ODI games. Cricket Asia Cup 2012 - 1st Match Bangladesh v/s Pakistan

Today March 12, 2012, the First Match of the Tournament will be played between the host team Bangladesh with Pakistan at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur. The match will start at 2.30 pm IST.

Schedule of Asia Cup 2012 Matches

This year the Asia Cup is going to be played in Bangladesh. The matches of Asia Cup 2012 will began on Monday, March 12, 2012. The participating teams are : India, Bangladesh,Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Asia Cup 2012 will consist of 6 ODI and 1 Final match to be hosted by Bangladesh in March 2012. 

The 2012 Asia Cup has been rescheduled to avoid conflicting with the ODI tri-series in Australia that also includes Sri Lanka and India, the Asian Cricket Council has said. The tournament was originally supposed to be played from March 1 to March 11, but with the tri-series ending on March 8, the tournament will now be played from March 12 to March 22. The venue, Dhaka, remains unchanged.

The 2012 Asia Cup will be the 11th edition of a tournament that has had something of a rocky existence, being played at irregular intervals and tacked on as an afterthought to the already jam-packed schedules of the big four teams of Asian cricket - India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. India are the defending champions, having beaten Sri Lanka in the final of the 2010 edition in Dambulla.
