ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 kick starts from February 14. The opening match will feature co-hosts New Zealand taking on Sri Lanka at Christchurch and the following match on the same day will feature two rivals, Australia and England at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). India will get their campaign underway against Pakistan on February 15 at Adelaide.
Australia and New Zealand are the co-hosts of this edition of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015. Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Hobart, Canberra, Brisbane and Canberra will be the venues in Australia. New Zealand will have Christchurch, Wellington, Auckland, Hamilton, Napier, Nelson and Dunedin hosting games.
For every win, a team will get two points and a tie will earn them one point. There was only one tie in the previous edition and it happened between a match between India and England at Bangalore. Australia and New Zealand are firm favourites to win the World Cup in their own backyard.
