The  terms & conditions for engagement are furnished  below:- 

1. Number of Posts :  20 Posts 

Eligibility :

- The candidate must be a citizen of India. 

- He /She should be graduate in any discipline from a recognized University/Institution with knowledge of computer operations.  

- The candidate must be able to speak, read & write in the local language (apart from English) of the region/area of the branch for which he/she applies for. He/she should hail from the same region/area of the branch for which applications are invited. Others need not apply.  

- Knowledge of riding two wheeler is desirable. 

2. Age  : 

Age should be between 21-30 years as on 01/07/14.

3. Job Profile:

Undertaking recovery visits, post sanction field visits for disbursement, Marketing of Housing Loans, making phone calls to customer for business/recoveries, scanning of documents, data entry operations in the computer, attending to the customers, documentation etc. and any such other work assigned by the Branch Manager from time to time.

4. Period of Contract and termination: 

The contract shall be for one year only, and may be renewed for another year at the sole discretion of the company. 

In case if company requires the services of the selected candidate for further period, the contract may be renewed for further period up to 2 more years with renewals after each year. 

Either party may terminate the contract by giving one month‟s notice in writing/by remitting one month‟s compensation amount.  The company reserves the right to terminate the services of contract appointee who fails to show satisfactory performance or even without assigning any reasons by giving one month's notice at any time during the contract period. 

5. Compensation:

Selected candidates will be paid a consolidated amount of Rs.15,200/- per month for first 12 months.  In case of renewal of contract, then the consolidated compensation will be Rs.18,000/- per month for the 2 year and Rs.23,000/- per month for the 3rd  year. 

The contract appointee is eligible for PF.  An amount Rs. 780/- will be deducted from his /her monthly compensation and a matching amount of Rs.780/- from the company will be contributed. 

An Ex-gratia amount upto Rs.9000/- (@ Rs.750/- p.m on pro-rata  basis from the date of joining)  is payable during May‟15, subject to Board‟s approval. 

Applicable Statutory deductions like Professional Tax, TDS etc., if any, shall be deducted from their emoluments.

6. Other benefits:

Casual Leave  – 1 day for each completed month of service, subject to a maximum of 10 days during the calendar year .  
Annual Leave –  20 days in a calendar year on pro-rata basis, after completion of 1 year of contract.  

Carry-over of unavailed Casual leave is not permissible.

9.  Selection Procedure :
  • The selection for the post of Junior Officers on contract shall be by way of Interview only. 
  • The applications not in conformity/as per the format (as in annexure 1) will be rejected. 
  • Company reserves the right to accept/reject any application at any stage including calling for  interview.
  • A committee of Executives of the company will shortlist the candidates  in the ratio of  1: 10 (i.e. 10 candidates for 1 vacancy) for the branches listed in the advertisement branch-wise, based upon candidates‟ performance  in academics, qualification his/her ability to speak, read or write local language, nearness of his/her domicile to branch, career and  experience in the previous assignment etc.  
  • The names of 200 candidates short listed for interview for 20 vacancies will be published in our website on or before 21/08/14 along with the details of venue/date/time for interview. Candidates shall note that no individual communication will be sent to the applicants calling for attending the Interview.   • The list of selected candidates (additional candidates may also be selected at the discretion of management) will be published in our Website  on or before 01/09/14 and offer letter will be communicated to the selected candidates by e-mail/courier. 
  • The Selected candidates should join the respective branch from 02/09/14 onwards.  Wherever required, joining time for the selected candidates shall be extended upto 2 months with prior permission at the discretion of the company.  Such request shall be made within 10/09/14. 
  • If the selected candidate does not join within a week or if the request for extension of Joining time is not received by 10/09/14, offer of engagement will be automatically cancelled and no correspondence will be entertained thereafter.  
  • If any of the information furnished by the candidate is found to be false/ untrue at any time in his/ her service, they are liable to be discontinued/ disqualified.   

10. General Instructions:
  • Actual bus/train fare for the travel from the place of his/her domicile to the center of interview will be paid up to the limit of AC 3 tier (by shortest distance) for to & fro journey to the eligible candidates who attend the interview, on production of original tickets for onward journey & Xerox copy of return journey tickets provided return journey is undertaken on the date of interview or the immediate next day. Age Limit: Candidates age should be between 20 years to 35 years for posts 1 to 7, 21 years to 40 years for post 8, 21 years to 30 years for post 9, 21 years to 21 years for post 10 & 11, 21 years to 37 years for post 12 & 13 and 25 years to 40 years for post 14 as on 01-02-2013. Age relaxation is applicable as per rules.

Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess B.E/ B.Tech/ Graduation with DOEACC ‘b’ level/ MBA/ MCA/ LLB/ CA/ ICWA/ PG in related field with relevant certificate as per the post with desired experience in relevant field as per the post. For post wise details refer to the notificaion.

IBPS Score Card (CWE) Details: Candidates who have been declared qualified in the Common Written Examination[CWE] for Specialist Officers conducted by IBPS in 2011-2012 should have obtained the qualifying Standard Score as per post wise & category wise given in the notification.

Application Fee: Candidates should  pay the application fee of  Rs.100/- for all others & Rs.20/- for SC/ ST/ PWD/ EXSM candidates through CBS at any of the Branches of Canara Bank through the Challan form downloaded from the website or by NEFT from any other Bank to the Name of the Account: Canara Bank Recruitment Project – 1/2013, Account Number: 1173201002323, Payee Bank: Canara Bank,  South End Road Branch, Bangalore, IFSC Code: CNRB0001173. Candidates applying for Post 1 to 8 should mention their Registration Number & Candidates applying for Post 9 to 14 should mention their Name.

Selection Process: Selection will be done on the basis of performance in Common Written Examination (CWE) for Specialist Officers conducted by IBPS in 2011-2012,Group Discussion & Personal Interview for post 1 to 8, For post 9 to 14 selection will be done on the basis of Shortlisting and Group Discussion and/or Interview.

How to Apply: Candidates may apply online through the Bank’s Website www.canarabank.com from 25-02-2013 to 06-03-2013.  After submission of online application candidates should take the print of system generated application form.

A. For the post of 1 to 8:

  1. Candidates should have a valid personal e-mail ID.
  2. Candidate should keep ready scanned copies of Passport size Photo & Signature for uploading.
  3. Candidates should pay the application fee through Challan or through NEFT as mentioned above and should have details of payment.
  4. Candidates should log on to the website www.canarabank.com.
  5. Click on the link “Careers/ Recruitment”  and click on the link “Recruitment Project – 1/ 2013” and click ‘Apply Online’. Candidates should fill all the details in the on-line application.
  6. After filling the details, upload the Photo and Signature in the online application..

  8. After completion of on-line registration, take print of the system generated On-line Application.
B.  For the posts 09 to 14:

  1. Candidates should have a valid personal e-mail ID and it should be registered with IBPS CWE-SPLST-2011-12.
  2. Candidates should pay the application fee through Challan or through NEFT as mentioned above and should have details of payment.
  3. Candidates can log on to the website www.canarabank.com.
  4. Click on the link “Careers/ Recruitment” and click on the link “Recruitment Project – 1/ 2013” and apply for the concerned post.
  5. Candidates should log-on using their IBPS-CWE-SPLST-2011-12 Registration Number & Password and fill in the details.
  6. Candidates should fill all the details in the on-line application.
  7. After completion of on-line registration, take system generated print-out of Registered On-line Application.
  8. Retain a copy of the final on-line application print out after updating payment details, along with Registration Number & Password safely for records.
