IPL T20 Points Table 2015

The eighth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) begins on April 8, 2015 with the defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders taking on the champions of the 2013 edition, Mumbai Indians.
IPL 2015 will involve eight teams as the tournament will start on April 8 and will end with the final on May 24. There have been lot of commotion in between as couple of IPL teams have gone through lot of changes. Yuvraj Singh will be playing for the Delhi Daredevils (DD), after he was purchased for Rs 16 crore in the auction held in February this year.
Kevin Pietersen, who was the captain of the Delhi side last time around was bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) for Rs 2 crores. But Pietersen will not be a part of the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), as he is pushing for England reselection and he will be available for the IPL franchise only if they qualify for the second round.
There seems to have been no chance in the points system for IPL 2015. The team that wins will get two points and the top four teams at the end of the first round — which is all teams having played their home and away games — will go into the Play-Offs.
The leading run-scorers in the tournament will be awarded with the Orange Cap, and the leading wicket-takers of the IPL 2015 will be given the Purple Cap.

BMC Recruitment of Junior Engineers 2015-16

Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) invites applications from eligible candidates for the posts as mentioned below. The interested candidates can apply in ONLINE mode only through the link provided on the official website of BMC. No other means/mode of application will be accepted. Age Limit: Candidates age should be between 18 to 38 years for Open category & 18 to 38 years for Reserved category as on 05-06-2015. Age relaxation is applicable as per rules.
Education Qualification: Candidate should possess SSC with 03 years Diploma in Civil/ Construction Technology/ Public Health Engineering for Junior Engineer (Civil), SSC with 03 years Diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Automobile/ Electronics/ Production Engineering/ Diploma in Electronics Power System for Junior Engineer (Mechanical and Electrical).
Application Fee: Candidates has to pay Rs. 600/- for Open category, Rs. 300/- for BC/ Other BC categories, Fee can be pay through RuPay/ Visa/ MasterCard/ Maestro/ IMPS/ Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets.
How to Apply: Eligible candidates may apply online through the website portal.mcgm.gov.in from 12-05-2015 to 05-06-2015 till 11:59 PM.
Instructions for Online Applicants:
- Candidates have to scan their photo and signature.
- Log on to the website portal/mcgm.gov.in
- Click on the option “APPLY ONLINE” which will open a new screen.
- To register application, choose the tab “Click here for New Registration” and enter Name, Contact details and Email-id.
- A Provisional Registration Number and Password will be generated by the system and displayed on the screen.
- Candidate should note down the Provisional Registration Number and Password.
- Validate candidates details and Save your application by clicking the ‘VALIDATE YOUR DETAILS’ and ‘SAVE & NEXT’ button.
- Upload their Photo & Signature.
- Candidates can proceed to fill other details of the Application Form.
- Click on the Preview Tab to preview and verify the entire application form before “FINAL SUBMIT”.
- Click on ‘PAYMENT’ Tab and proceed for payment through Online Mode.
- Check the fields and submit it.
- Take printout of the Application.
- Remain safely the Password & ID generated.

ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 - Points Table 15.03.2015

At the end of what has been an exhilarating month at the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015, it boils down to the final day of the league stages to determine two of the quarter-finalists from Pool B.
India and South Africa are already through.
Now, on what promises to be a Super Sunday (March 15), West Indies play United Arab Emirates at McLean Park in Napier. Meanwhile, in Adelaide, Ireland will be looking to repeat history (from 2007) and secure a berth in the knockouts when it clashes against Pakistan.
Here's what each team needs to do in order to cement their quarter-final spot:
West Indies
With just two wins in five matches, a win over UAE is non-negotiable for West Indies. However, it isn't a straightforward equation.
While the winner of the Pakistan v Ireland game will go through, West Indies will be caught in a battle of net run-rates if Ireland beats Pakistan. In that eventuality, Pakistan and West Indies will be locked on points. Therefore, a big margin of victory is imperative on Sunday for Jason Holder's side.
Its task will also somewhat be made tougher, as bad weather has been forecast. If a result is not possible in Napier, both teams would share one point and the West Indies will be knocked out.
Pakistan
Pakistan has the best net run-rate among the sides in the race. With three wins in five games, a straightforward win will see Pakistan through. However, the side's good deeds over the last three games could open the back door even if it loses to Ireland, provided West Indies doesn't beat UAE by too big a margin.
Ireland
Despite winning three matches, Ireland faces a do-or-die battle against Pakistan due to its inferior net run-rate. A win would take other results out of the equation. A loss for Ireland would bring it down to a net run-rate fight with West Indies.
If there is a weather-forced no-result in the West Indies v UAE game, both Pakistan and Ireland would progress irrespective of the result in their game although the result will still be key for the final classification in the group.
With the two co-hosts finishing first and second in Pool A, a journey to either Wellington to play New Zealand or to Adelaide to play Australia awaits two of these sides. What bigger incentive could there be than a Quarter Final spot at the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015.

ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 - Points Table 08.03.2015

Today two matches were played. The first match was played between Afganistan and New Zeland which was easily won by New Zeland by 6 Wickets. The second match was played between Australia and Sri Lanka. Australia made a big score of 376 for the loss of 9 wickets in 50 Overs. Sri Lanka players tried their best but could only manage to score 312 Runs for the loss of 9 Wickets. The points table is as under :-
