IPL T20 Points Table 2015

Friends,

The eighth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) begins on April 8, 2015 with the defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders taking on the champions of the 2013 edition, Mumbai Indians.

IPL 2015 will involve eight teams as the tournament will start on April 8 and will end with the final on May 24. There have been lot of commotion in between as couple of IPL teams have gone through lot of changes. Yuvraj Singh will be playing for the Delhi Daredevils (DD), after he was purchased for Rs 16 crore in the auction held in February this year.

Kevin Pietersen, who was the captain of the Delhi side last time around was bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) for Rs 2 crores. But Pietersen will not be a part of the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), as he is pushing for England reselection and he will be available for the IPL franchise only if they qualify for the second round.

There seems to have been no chance in the points system for IPL 2015. The team that wins will get two points and the top four teams at the end of the first round — which is all teams having played their home and away games — will go into the Play-Offs.

The leading run-scorers in the tournament will be awarded with the Orange Cap, and the leading wicket-takers of the IPL 2015 will be given the Purple Cap.

The T20 World Cup schedule has been declared by the ICC which will host 27 matches in the period of September-October this year. There has been much discussion about the Twenty20 World Cup schedule where team managements are in continuous discussion with the ICC to ensure a fair T20 schedule in order to avoid fatigue. The Future Cricket Tour Programs (FTP) is the operational body and developer of the World Twenty20 fixtures for the World Cup this year.

The first match is going to be played between Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka on September 18 as the inaugural match of the Cup. Critics have already started the blame game complaining too much of cricket especially Twenty20 cricket is the root for fatigue among players and the T20 World Cup time table should be reviewed in order to save cricket. DLF IPL T20 Match no. 13 and 14 with Points Table

Friends,

Match No. 13

Today April 12, 2012, there will be played two matches. The Match No. 13 will be played between Chennai Super Kings, Chennai  v/s Royal Challengers, Banglore. The match is scheduled to be played at M.A.Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. The match will start at 4:00 p.m. IST. The Chennai Super Kings have looked out of sorts in the three matches they've played this season and their problem starts right at the top of the innings. Their opening partnerships have been 4, 2 and 0, and opener Murali Vijay has only managed scores of 10, 2 and 0. He will be aware of the pressure on him to deliver the goods. Keep an eye on the 28-year-old to come out firing.

There will be pressure on Suresh Raina and Ravichandran Ashwin too. They were key contributors to CSK’s title run in IPL 2011, but this year, they haven’t set the stage on fire yet. Expect them to turn on the heat – especially while playing at home, where they've got fabulous records.

It is not often that Chris Gayle, Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers fail in the same match. That happened in RCB’s match against KKR. The team from Bangalore will want to flush that memory away quickly. Look out for fireworks from Gayle, who looked out of sorts in his first outing this season. The Jamaican opener batted for eight balls to score 2 runs against KKR, and he will want to start delivering those big blows that made him a heartthrob with RCB fans last season.

Match No. 14

The Match No. 14 will be played between Kings XI Punjab v/s Pune Warriors India, Pune and will be played at Punjab Cricket Association Stadium, Mohali. The match will start at 8.00 p.m. IST.For Kings XI Punjab to start competing, their captain Adam Gilchrist needs to start scoring big runs at the top of the order. For a team that doesn’t have many other match-winners, Gilchrist and his fellow Australian David Hussey – who is among the most-experienced cricketers in Twenty20 cricket – need to score the bulk of the runs. They will also need batsmen like Paul Valthaty to play the supporting role.

KXIP will also look to give Azhar Mahmood his first IPL cap; the 37-year old has been in good form with the bat in Twenty20 cricket recently. His 117 Twenty20 appearances coupled with his all-round contribution could just be the boost his side needs.

Pune Warriors India will be glad that their all-rounders are contributing; Marlon Samuels, Robin Uthappa and Steven Smith have been impressive in both the matches so far. Samuels has contributed with both bat and ball in both games, and Uthappa has scored valuable runs and has been very sharp behind the stumps.

DLF IPL T20 Points Table

Friends

DLF IPL T20 is going on.Launched as well as promoted by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Indian Premier League (IPL) made its debut in April 2008. Based on the English Premier League (football) and the National Basketball League (NBA) of the United States, IPL is a professional Twenty20 cricket league. It has been backed by the ICC and has a total of eight teams, with each of them being made up of a minimum of 16 players.

The first season of the Indian Premier League was kick-started on 18th April 2008. The season came to an end on 1st June 2008, with Rajasthan Royals being declared as the champions. Just like the football and basketball leagues in America, DLF Indian Premier League has a franchise-system for hiring players as well as for transfers. The franchises are auctioned off, with the highest bidder being the owner of a particular team.
