Odisha Power Generation Corporation Limited (OPGC) invites applications from eligible candidates for Engineering Executive Trainees in various disciplines as mentioned below. Odisha Power Generation Corporation Ltd. is a Joint Venture of Government of Odisha and AES Corporation, USA is thermal power generating company with state-of-art technology with a generation capacity of 2 X 210 MW having its plant site at Ib Thermal Power Station, Banharpali, Jharsuguda with an annual turnover of about 500 crores. The Company is currently in the process of setting up 2 X 660 MW units & developing its captive coal mine in the 1st Phase. The brief details of vacancies are as under :
- Executive Trainee (Mechanical) - 10 Posts
- Executive Trainee (Electrical) - 8 Posts
- Executive Trainee (Civil) - 3 Posts
- Executive Trainee (C&I) - 3 Posts
- Executive Trainee (Mining) - 1 Posts
Educational Qualification: Degree of (B.E/ B.Tech and B.Sc (Engg) is required for the post of trainee executives in OPGC. Who are going to clear their last year in above mentioned qualifications in May-June 2013 can also apply for these vacancies. Candidates should have knowledge of Machinery, Manufacturing and production etc. It will be beneficial for them for their further training.
Age Limit: Maximum 25 years age is eligible for applying and for SC/ST candidate’s age limit is according to government rules.
How to Apply : Candidates have to pass an exam for Mechanical Engineering discipline on 10th February 2013. Candidates have to apply for this exam online. Candidate can download their admit card and registration number for their exams from the same website. For more information regarding this exam you can visit www.gate.iitb.ac.in. Passing marks in these exams are also required for applying and result will be shown online. Question paper of GATE exam will be included questions of general knowledge and candidate has to attempt these questions according to instructions given to them during exams. You can download its syllabus from above given site and can get prepare for this exam.
Candidates can apply online on www.opgc.co.in. They can also submit their documents by post on this address “Post Box No. 3076, Lodi Road, New Delhi -110003". Last date of submission is 25-January-2013. No application will be accepted after due date.
Selection Procedure For OPGC Recruitment:
Selection of a candidate is based on his performance in written exam, their qualification and their personal interview. Candidate’s knowledge about machines and things related to engineering will be judged during this interview. So be prepare for exam and interview both and gain more and more knowledge about machinery, manufacturing and production etc.
