Steel Authority Of India Limited (A Government of India Enterprise) invites applications from eligible candidates for various posts as mentioned below vide Adv.No.DSP/Pers/Rectt/2011-12/ Dated: 31.05.2012. The interested candidates can apply On-line through the link provided at the official website of SAIL. No other means/mode of Application will be accepted. A written test will be conducted by SAIL which will be held at Kolkata. Posting will only be in Durgapur Steel Plant in Durgapur, West Bengal. All the candidates should have a valid e-mail and a mobile no. The date, time and place of the selection process will be intimated to the eligible candidates due course through e-mail/ SMS/ uploading on SAIL website. The details are as under :

• Name of Post : Operator-cum-Technician – Boiler Operation
• No. of Posts  : 06 Posts 
• Age Limit : Maximum 30 Years
• Qualification and Experience : Diploma in Engineering from Govt. recognized institution with First Class Boiler Attendant Certificate of Competency and with minimum 1 year experience.

• Name of Post : Operator-cum-Technician (Trainee)
• No. of Posts  : 113 Posts 
• Age Limit :  Maximum 28 Years
• Qualification and Experience : Three years full time diploma in engineering in the discipline of Metallurgy, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics from Govt. recognized institute.

• Name of Post : Attendant-cum-Technician (Trainee) – Cable Jointing
• No. of Posts  : 03 Posts
• Age Limit : Maximum 28 Years
• Qualification and Experience : Matriculation with ITI (Electrical) from Govt. recognized institute with cable jointing license from State Licensing Board for cables upto 33 KV or equivalent and with minimum 1 year experience.

(Age, Qualifications and Experience will be calculated as on 01.03.2012)

How to Apply :

Candidates willing to apply for these posts can apply online only through SAIL’s website www.sail.co.in at the link “Careers with SAIL”. Before registering the application on the website, candidates should ensure the following:

a) Have a valid e-mail ID and Mobile No., which should remain valid for at least two years.

b) Have latest passport size colour photograph as well as photograph of own signature in digital format (.jpg or .jpeg file only, each less than 500 kb size) for uploading with the application.Same photograph should be affixed for the entire selection process whenever required.

Candidates are advised to fill all the relevant columns carefully so that to upload a error free Application Form. After applying online, candidate is required to download the system generated Registration Slip with unique registration number and other essential details and retain a copy of the same. Candidates are not required to send any document for appearing in the written test. However, candidates shortlisted for interview would be required to furnish documents regarding proof of date of birth, qualification, caste category, PWD/ESM status etc. at the time of interview as per intimation given to the shortlisted candidates.
