Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) and Head Constable (Ministerial) Recruitment in BSF 2012-13

Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs, Directorate General Border Security Force, Recruitment Section invites applications from eligible candidates for the post of Assistant Sub Inspector (Stenographer) and Head Constable (Ministerial). The posts are initially temporary but likely to become permanent. The interested candidates can apply on the prescribed format as given in the Annexure-I of the advertisement which could be downloaded from the official website of BSF and also from the link given at the end of this post. The brief details are as under : 

Name of Post : Assistant Sub-Inspector (Stenographer) 

No. of Posts : 82 posts (Direct-69, Departmental-13) 

Pay Scale : Rs.5200-20200 grade pay Rs. 2800/-

Name of Post : Head Constable (Ministerial) 

No. of Posts : 304 posts

Pay Scale : Rs.5200-20200 grade pay Rs. 2400/-

Age Limit : Between 18 to 25 years.

(Relaxation in age as per rules)

Application Fee : Rs. 50/- (SC/ST, Departmental (BSF) candidates and Women Candidates are exempted from payment of examination fee)

Recruitment/Selection Procedure: The initial shortlisting of candidates would be done on the basis of their educational qualifications, age and other related eligibility criteria. These shortlisted candidates will have to go through the following selection procedure for the final selection decision to be made for the available vacancies:

• Written Examination (for testing the aptitude of the candidates)
• PST
• Short Hand Test
• Typing Test
• Verification of documents
• Medical Examination

How to apply : The application form can be downloaded from the official website of BSF. Candidates are advised to ensure their eligibility before applying for these posts. The Application Form must be filled by the candidates in his own handwriting/typewritten. If there is any correction while filling the Application Form that should be legible and attested by the candidate. The candidates willing to apply for both posts have to fill separate form for each post. All eligible candidates who apply in response to this advertisement before the closing date will be assigned Registration /Roll Numbers. They will be communicated through call letter for appearing in written examination.

The envelope containing the application form must be superscribed in bold letters as "APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF __________________________ IN BORDER SECURITY FORCE 2012."
