Steel Authority of India (SAIL) (A Government of India Enterprise) invites applications for the post of Operator cum Technician Trainee in various disciplines vide Advt No BSL/R/2013-01. The candidate should have a three years full time Diploma in Engineering from Govt. recognized institute in any of the disciplines from Mechanical, Electrical, Metallurgy, Civil, Electronics & Telecom, Ceramics, Chemical or Instrumentation. The interested candidates can apply in ONLINE mode only through the link provided on the official website of SAIL at www.sail.co.in. No other means/mode of application shall be accepted. During first year of training after selection, trainees will be paid Rs. 10700 per month and in second year 12200 per month as consolidated amount. After completion of training of 2 years, candidates will be regularized as Operator-cum-Technician in S-3 grade in the pay scale of Rs.9160/-3 %-13150/.The candidates in their own interest are advised to ensure their eligibility before applying for these posts by going through the advertisement which could be downloaded from the link given at the end of this post. Age Limit : Maximum age limit of candidate applying for the above post must not exceed 28 years as on 1-1-2013. Relaxation in upper age for SC/ST is 5 years and OBC 3 years. For PH candidates relaxation is upper age limit will be provided 10 Years.
Educational qualification : Candidates willing to apply for the post of operator cum technician trainee should have 3 year diploma in respective field from Government recognized institution.
Selection Process : Candidates applying for these posts will be required to qualify a written test and interview. Those candidates who possess the valid Photo Admit Card will be only called for exam and interview. Admit card can be downloaded from SAIL website after filling application form. All correspondence with candidates will be made by SAIL through email only or by uploading on website regarding examination schedule/ admit card/ interview call letter etc. Candidates should provide their valid email id as SAIL will not be responsible for non receipt of any email by candidates.
How to Apply : Candidates need to apply online only on website www.sail.co.in, as no other means other than online will be accepted by SAIL. Before filling application, candidates required to have valid email id, photograph and signature in digital format. Candidates need to download pay-in-slip to pay fees of Rs.250 in case of GEN/OBC and Rs. 50 in case of SC/ST/PH etc. after filling online application. Only downloaded pay slip should be used to pay application fees amount on behalf of SAIL/Bokaro Steel Plant in SBI Power Jyoti account number 31877168126 of SBI Branch sector 4, B.S.City branch. An extra charge of Rs.20 will be charged by bank as bank charges for depositing fees. Application can be submitted from 01.03.2013 till last date 28-03-2013. Admit cards can be downloaded from SAIL website on or after 15-04-2013.
